DECOR OF DREAMS

All things interior design. Inspiration picture from pinterest

My interior design style is a mix of modern, minimalist, bohemian with a little industrial. I love the look of vintage pieces from light fixtures, rugs and mirrors so adding some of that into a room can make such a big difference and is an aim for when I do up my room.

MY ROOM TRANSFORMATION

BEFORE & DURING

I did a whole room transformation with help from Oli and I'm obsessed. The before and after are crazy. We sold all my old furniture and painted my whole room. Got a new carpet, bed, wardrobe doors, chest of draws, mirror, shelves...the list goes on.

MY INSPIRATION

There is a limit to what I can do with my room being the size and shape it is. However, I am really happy with how it came out. It's more my style now, very modern and fresh.

THE END RESULT

0.2

I'm obsessed with the end result of my room. I've ordered from all different places, online and in-store. My main thing was I wanted it to feel bright and cosy, adding different textures, plants and homely items. I knew I definitely wanted a big plant next to my mirror and finding the right one was important. I love Bents garden centre for them, all my best plants are from there. Storage was another main thing for my room and with the size of it I needed to think it through. I measured everything out and went with a storage bed, chest of draws and still used my old wardrobe but was able to bring it to a two door instead of the three it was. It took a lot of space as a three so down sizing my wardrobe but added chest of draws was so much better. I was able to style the chest of draws the way I've wanted to for ages, also able to have a double bed without it feeling cramped.

MY INSPIRATION

0.3

I'm constantly inspired when it comes to decor. Saving idea's for my future home and for now my room. Pinterest is where I see a lot and save a lot, I have a board that I add to on a daily. I also get inspired by other people's home, my absolute favourites are Julia and Hunter. Their home is something else, I love everything about it. They are constantly adding things and changing placements. They have just moved house and currently doing it all up so I've been keeping along and watching the process. I learn a lot from them with styling, finding the best pieces and everything that comes with it.
